The GRAND FEATURE FILM ORCHESTRA is pleased and honored to perform the music for ON STAGE VACAVILLE's production of CARMEN by ANGELA ARTERITANO. The GFFO will perform a musical score based on Bizet's opera, CARMEN, and Ravel's BOLERO! But the show's big stars are the ARTERITANO FLAMENCO COMPANY, dazzling audiences with authentic Spanish costumes and beautiful choreography in celebration of the rich traditions of southern Spain.
The creative source of the production is teacher and dancer Angela Arteritano, who produces the ballet, directs the dancers, and will perform along with her troupe on stage.
The GFFO will accompany the production with live music below the stage, in an area called "the orchestra pit." Known for their live film scoring, this will be the GFFO's first ballet accompaniment.
Two performances with live music will be presented at The VACAVILLE PERFORMING ARTS THEATRE on Saturday, September 28th, at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, September 29th, at 10:00 a.m.
