The Lost World -- One Hundred-year Anniversary live movie performance in San Francisco

Bringing out this major adventure classic is a tremendous honor. It's big on excitement and history!

Willis O'Brien's masterful stop-motion cinematography created one of the biggest movie spectacles of the century.  Moviegoers left the theaters believing that dinosaurs still exist!

With a 100% on Rotten Tomatoes and universal acclaim at the time, THE LOST WORLD ushered in a new way of adventure movie-making.

“As soon as the thrilling sequences are reached, where the explorers are seen in the supposed habitat of the living dinosauri, brontosauri, allosauri and other prehistoric monsters, there is no end of excitement.”

                              – Mordaunt Hall, New York Times, 1925

While today we know that giant T-rexes no longer roam the earth, the movie works best when you put yourself in the mindset of a simpler time - a time when so many things were unexplained. Who knows, after the movie, you may go home to find a brontosaurus leisurely snacking on leaves in your backyard.
