When a quirky, ukulele-strumming college kid travels to a Mississippi river town, his rugged, old-school riverboat captain father is absolutely horrified by his son's soft, citified ways. Their hilarious culture clash sparks endless physical comedy—from a chaotic hat-fitting session to bumbling jailbreak attempts—all while the young man secretly courts the lovely daughter of his father's fierce rival.

PLUS TWO SHORT FILMS BEFORE THE FEATURE:

Charlie Chaplin's BEHIND THE SCREEN

Chaplin plays David, an overworked movie studio stagehand who must carry out all the heavy lifting while his tyrannical, lazy supervisor, Goliath (played by the iconic Eric Campbell), naps on the job.

CARTOON: A TALE OF TWO KITTIES Two hungry alley cats, Babbit and Catstello, spot a tiny, seemingly helpless pink bird resting in a high nest. Desperate for a meal, the frantic pair tries everything to reach him—constructing makeshift gliders, high stilts, springs, and ladders. However, they quickly discover that they are no match for this clever fowl.
